Is Nancy a second wife? Was she 34 yo when she married John? Was Ayers her maiden name or her first husband’s name. Why do some think John’s wife was Brion/Bryan? Their daughter Catherine was born in 1791, before these two were married in 1794?

Willis Brown, descends from William, son of Michael and Nance Ayers. In a note she sent me 2/15/05, she told me that this Nancy had first been married to Michael Ayers (b. 1768 in Sussex Co., N.J. and d. 12/1792 in Allegany Co., MD) Michael and Nancy Ayers had two children, William and Mary (Polly) Ayers who (I think) became the wards of, first, John Snook in 1796, second, David Ayers from 1801 until 1810 and second, 1811, Samuel Ayers.
