George is listed as paying chattel tax in Jackson County, OH in 1826 and 1828 along with brothers Henry, John, Mathias and William.

1840 Louisa County census lists George as having 1 male 5-10; 1 male 10-15; 1 male 20-30; 1 male 30-40 (George?); and 1 male 40-50. The family also had 1 female under 5; 1 femle 5-10; 1 female 10-15; and one 30-40. His daughter’s Arminda’s obit says that he homesteaded what was known as the Nelson Duncan farm west of Columbus City. There is a George Snook d. 3/31/1893, aged 70, buried in Spring Run Cemetary, Elm Grove Twp., in Louisa County. Next to him is buried Lydia Snook, d. 4/10/1893, aged 63 in row 5. Are they George and Lorinda???
