Advisory

There are several Ancestry Member Trees claiming that Nicholas Bush of Augusta County, Virginia was born in England in 1762 and married in 1784, but this appears to be in error. This Nicholas Bush is clearly of German Ancestry, and as he had one of his daughters, Catherine, born in Augusta County no later than 1773, Nicholas had to have been born likely no later than 1753. Additional research is necessary.

Note: this Ancestry Tree claims that Nicholas Bush was born in 1762 and married in Norwich, England, which based upon other information is in error, as records prove he was of German ancestry. There are MANY obviously flawed Ancestry Member trees of this family showing birthdates of children when Nicholas was still a child. Additional research is needed using primary source records.
