Ancestry contains notes from other people tracing this family to the effect that the three sons all went to the United States and that Moses and Mary Jane were there for the 1900 US Federal Census. One of the twin daughters reports on her marriage registration that she was born in Michigan.

Usually one would depend on the birthdate given in the 1901 census to ascertain birthdates before vital registration commenced in 1869, but in this case the birthday was the same for both husband and wife, raising suspicions that the enumerator had made an error. Moses Hill's death registration contained the age at death to the day, and this, backed up by the data in the 1911 census, has been used as the source of his birthdate.
