In the Corrections to DICTIONNAIRE GENEALOGIQUE DES FAMILLES ACADIENNES, the family Aucoin is recast due to new evidence discovered after the book was published.
The latest information indicates that Michelle and her sister Jeanne Aucoin are the daughters of Martin Aucoin and his first wife Barbe Minguet. Marie Salle is his second wife. For Michelle, it is noted that there is a possibility that she is the daughter of a previous alliance. See Corrections.
CENSUS: 1671, Port Royal, Acadia, age 53 [sic], living with husband, 71. They have 11 children, 3 of them married. Oldest is 29 [born when Michelle was 24?].
CENSUS: 1686, Port Royal, Acadia, "Recensement fait par Monsieur De Meulles;" 1686; France, Minister of the Colonies, Archives; [p. 2]; microfilm from LDS Family History Library. Wife of Michel BOUDROT, Michelle AUCOIN, age 65, listed with him and two of their sons: Michel, age 26, and Francois, age 20.
CENSUS: 1693, age 78 years (sic), a widow.

Michelle AUCOIN, daughter of Martin AUCOIN "menuisier" & possibly wife Barbe MINGUET. The "Ajouts et corrections" adds that she was perhaps the issue of an earlier alliance of Martin AUCOIN's.
