A note (i) states that according to three separate marriage dispensations Michelle AUCOIN and this Jeanne AUCOIN were sisters. Another note (ii) states that no dispensations have been found that would furnish a definitive answer to whether Martin AUCOIN (born 1651) was a brother.

A note adds: The signature of Arnaud GYON in the marriage act of Martin AUCOIN with Marie SALLÉ is the same as that which appears on the baptismal act of Jeanne AUCOIN, daughter of Martin AUCOIN & Barbe MINGUET. Thus we are sure that it is the same Martin AUCOIN in the two acts, even if there is no mention of a widowhood in his marriage act.
