EXILED: FM SWZ Oct 1671, with his son Michael & daughter Barbara and their families.!LIVED: at Hinton in the village of Eggiwil, where all of his children were born. He was among the large group of Anabaptist who were expelled from the Emmenthal Valley in October 1671. According to the Anabaptist refugee list dated 1 Jan, 1672, he was living in Ibersheim, Germany (abt 8mi. No. of Worms, on the West bank of the Rhein) and age 81 with 14 children. R W Davis (ms) says that he (RWD) was able to only identify 7 of the 17 chdn from the Eggiwil Church records. Of those, at least three of the youngest were Anabaptists; Michael Jr., Barbara and Johannes. Michael Jr. was referred to as "his obedient son" and was with him in Ibersheim in Jan. 1672. His dau. Barbara was also exiled in Oct 1671, but returned to Eggiwil within a year with her husband. Johannes appears to have never left Swz. bp also given as Signau Parish, Bern, Switzerland Check the book "Emigrants, Refugees, and Prisoners, Vol 1 by Richard Warren Davis
