She was b. 1643, Eggiwil. Her grandfather was the Anabaptist preacher Christian Stauffer who was imprisioned at Thun in 1644 and also exiled from Sswz in 1671. Michael"s family went from Oelitshourst, Ger. to the Phalz area and to Ibersheim, near Worms. Anna S. left local money to her bro. Hans Stauffer in 1707 in Ibersheim. M.S. Jr. & Anna's 1st 4 chdn were b. at Eggiwil. MARR DATE 21 SEP 1660 MARR PLAC Eggiwil, Bern, Switz !LDS Ancestral File (AFN: S7ZJ-7P)  !JHOOVER: In her letter to jsc dtd 13 Feb'93 she outlines the big picture of this key Schenk family and its connections to earl y mennonite Lancaster. She included a plot map for early Conestoga/Mill Creek located at the SW corner of now Lancaster City, La nc twp, LancCoPa. The map is numbered and lettered and include s the acreage and owner of each tract. All four of this Michael Schenk, Jr's children are b. Eggiwil & come to PA in 1717. All have a connection to early Conestoga & this map. First the summary and then the detail: Our (jsc's) C hristian, b.1662 goes to Strasburg, ChesterCo & buys land with the group leader, Benidict Brackbill, (Christian's 1st son, Michael, and g/ son Michael,[E1 & E11] will soon move to Conestoga and are also on the map.) The sons, John & Michael, of Michael 3rd are "A"-59 & "C"-42 a t Conestoga. Hans John Schenk's son, Hans is at "B"-43 and between 43 & 59 lies the lands of Jacob & Michael Kryter, the sons of Barbara Schenk, m. Jacob Kreider/Kryder#57 Thus at Conestoga at the time rep resented by this map the grand children of Michael Schenk, J r & Anna Stauffer of Eggiwil represent all of their own children , to wit: Christian's- Micheal; Hans's-Hans; Michael 3rd's-Joh n & Michael AND their cousins, the sons of Barbara m. Jacob Krei der-Michael & Jacob Kryter.
