4 January 1687/8 - W/P To my sons John and Joseph Rickards 300 acres which I bought of my son Michael Rickards joining Hungers Creek to be equally divided when my son John is at age. To my daughter Joyce Rickards (not of age) cow and calf.
To my grandson Michael Godwin one heifer.
To William Benthall one heifer, to be recieved by his father if he thinks fit.
To my son Jones Rickards a chest.
To my son William Richards 12p.
To my son Michael Rickards 12p.
To my daughter Ann Godwin 12p.
To my daughter Elizabeth Dunton 12p.
To my daughter Mary Robinson 12p.
Loving wife Ann resid. legatte and extr. My three sons Jones, John and Joseph to remain with my wife until 21 if she remains a widow. If she remarries then to be divided equally all that is left her between herself Jones, John, Joseph and Joyce. Sons Jones, John and Joseph to be at age 18.
My friends and neighbors William Brookes and Thomas Powell to assist my wife and children.

The 28th day of May anno 1688, Then the within written last will and testament of Michael Rickards deceased was proved in open court by the corporal oaths of Thomas Wood and Robert Clarke and the affirmation of Thomas Dunton Sen'r and allowed of and ordered to be recorded.
