- ↑ Estimated birth date of abt 1645 is based, first of all, on the assumption she was of legal age (18) at the time of her marriage in early 1668, and so born before 1650. Then, considering the sequence of sibling births, particularly the birth of her brother James recorded in late 1648, it seems quite probable that she was born before James, hence bef. 1648. Charles T. Libby, in "The Knowles Family of Eastham", NEHGR, p. 79:292, doesn't estimate a date, but places her between John and James. Given the parents' marriage in 1639, an estimate of about 1645 places in the middle of that range. It also seems reasonable considering her husband's second wife, who was born in 1647.
- ↑ Estimated death date of bef 1695 is based on her husband's remarriage to Mary (Small) Snow. The date of this remarriage is not known exactly, but the inventory of Mary's first husband was dated 2 Apr 1692.
