Mattie leaves behind husband John Such of one year, Children: James Vernon Sayles, James Thomas Sayles, Louise Sayles, Norvel L.V. Forrest, Quinnan Harold Forrest, Margaret Catherine Forrest, George William Forrest, and Fay Etta Forrest. Four step children: William Buford Forrest, James Birdie Forrest, Annie Virginia Forrest and J.P. Forrest. Mattie also leaves behind both parents, and siblings: Luther Valentine Holley, Clarence Holley, James Clifford Holley, William Jefford Holley, Bessie Lee Flowers (Holley) and Gladys H. Stokes (Holley). Mattie was preceded in death by one son Shermon Earl.
