 In the 1910 census for Carlstadt, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Matthew Fitting is 24 born New York (parents New York), 'clerk - (railway?) office', married once for 7 months; with wife Anna 24 born New Jersey (parents Germany), married once.{ed 4, sh 15a, p. 95, roll 868 HeritageQuest}
 In the 1920 census for Carlstadt, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Matthew Fitting is 34, working as a clerk for the railroad; with wife Anna, age 34 from New Jersey, George is 9 and Alma is 3 1/12.  'Mother' Bertha Vogel (sp?) is 63, widowed, born in Germany. {ED 7, sh. 8}
 In the 1930 census for Carlstadt, district 18, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Matthew Fitting is 44 born New York (parents same), 'clerk insurance', married first at age 24; with wife Anna 44 born New Jersey (parents Germany); and children George 18 'runner - stock exchange'; and Alma 13 -- both born New Jersey (father NY, mother NJ); and mother-in-law Bertha Vogel 74, born Germany (Saxony), parents same, widow. {ed 2-18, sh 8a}

There is a SSDI record for Alma Dussard, b. 3 Nov 1916, d. 1996 San Diego CA. In the California Death records she is listed as Alma Jane Dussard, b. 1916 New Jersey, father Fitting, mother Schlicke.  There is also a George M. Fitting listed, b. 12 Jan 1912 (no state listed) mother Schicke, died 1969 Los Angeles.
