According to an IGI record for her marriage, her parents were George Petsch and Maragaret Robose. [Could it be Frobose?]

 According to a descendant of John Fitting, he married Marie Petsch.  According to 'Notes on Fitting Genealogy' he married Mary Pettinger. It is possible that he had more than one wife.
 She may be listed in the census as follows.  
 In the 1870 census for New York, ward 7, New York Co., New York, Geo H. Pettinger is 38 'cartman' with wife Sophia 38; Wm. E. 9; Mary E. 7; and Geo H. 5 -- all born New York. Servant Fanny O'Brien is 25 from Ireland. {p. 9 / 343 roll 980 HeritageQuest}
 In the 1880 census for Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, Geo. H. Pettinger is 48, born New York (parents New York), 'carman'; with wife Susan 32 Rhode Island (father NY, mother RI); and children Wm. 16 'clerk - fruit importer'; Mary E. 15; and Geo H. 14 -- all born NY (father NY, mother RI). {Page 43B } [This is may be George Hardy Pettinger (1832-1900) who married Susan Matilda Ward (1847-1902 OR) in 1877, listed in IGI records. George is also listed with wife "Hudson", mother of Will 1862, and George Howard 1864]
