    Foster - Mrs. Matilda Foster, nee Rogers died at her home December 17th, 1890, aged 70 years and 20 days. Mrs. Foster was born in Con., and was one of a family of ten children, five of whom survive her. She was married January 22d, 1839 to R. P. Foster and removed to this state a few months after. Her husband and two sons are left to lament the loss of a faithful wife and devoted mother. At the age of 15 she united with the M. E. Church, but at the time of her death was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Shelby. She was a good neighbor, ever ready to help the needy and sick and will be remembered as one of whom it may be said, "She did what she could." In her last moments she whispered, "Only on my way over there." The funeral services were conducted by her paster, Rev. Huggert, assisted by Rev. G. A. Reeder.

    Foster - Roswell P. Foster was bron in Luzerne Co., Pa., May 22nd, 1817, died August 14th, 1891, age 74 years, 3 months. He married to Miss Matilda Rogers in 1839 and moved to Shelby, Ohio, the same year. He was the father of two children both of whom survive him to mourn the loss of a father.
