Personal History

Mary Walln(e), daughter of Nicholas Walln by his wife Jane (Turner), was born 17 2mo. [April] 1687, in Bucks co., Province of Pennsylvania.[1]

At the Chester monthly meeting, held in Delaware Co., Province of Pennsylvania, John Simcock appeared firstly 28 11mo. [Jan.], and secondly 25 12mo. [Feb.] 1705[/6], to declare his intention of marriage with Mary Walne, daughter of Nicholas Walne of Philadelphia County, and to obtain a certificate. At the Philadelphia monthly meeting, on 29 1mo. [March] 1706, John Simcock and Mary Waln first declared their intentions of marriage with their parents present and giving their consent. Final consent was given at the monthly meeting on 26 2mo. [April] 1706, when they declared their intentions for the second time.

Mary Simcock, aged 84 years, died 19 5mo. [May] 1771, (Kingwood MM) in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey.[2]
