1824 - Baptism: Mary Ann, daughter of Gude WALLIS, blacksmith, and Mary.

1841 - May be a servant in the household of William & Elizabeth WOMACK in North Lopham.

1851 - Presumed to be the Mary Ann with no surname in household of Robert WALLIS in South Lopham (along with an unnamed Eliza, and James & Susan SCOTT, who is probably sister Susanna now married). No occupation recorded, single, aged 26, born at Bressingham, Norfolk.

1855 - Burial: Mary Ann WALLIS of Union House, Kenninghall, 31. Mary Ann's gravestone is granite, with an angel with a trumpet at the top. It also has a sandstone footstone. The inscription (as transcribed by the Women's Institute) reads: Sacred/ to the memory/ of/ MARY ANN WALLIS/ daughter of/ GUDE & MARY WALLIS/ who died April 30th 1855/ in the 31st year of her/ Age/ Seek ye the Lord while he may be/ found, and look upon him while/ he is near./ Isiah. (Note: The age at death was incorrectly transcribed as the 51st year.) The footstone is inscribed: M A W/ 1855.
