1796 - Baptism: Mary, daughter of James & Margaret SARE (late Margt WOMACK) born March 15, privately baptised March 25, received into the Church May 15. Elizabeth and Mary both received into the Church on the same occasion.

1841 - Apparently widowed. Lodging, with her daughter Eliza, with James & Margaret SARE on the Common, South Lopham.

1861 - Housekeeper to brothers Edward and John NICHOLSON, farmers, at Little Moor Farm, Twyford, Norfolk. No other household staff, just a dairymaid. Widowed, aged 52, born at Bridgham, Norfolk.

1871 - Widow Mary WALLIS. Visitor in the household of widower Barnaby CRICK in Wood Lane, South Lopham, where widow Susan SCOTT (believed née SAYER/SARE, her daughter) is housekeeper. Aged 74, born at Bridgham, Norfolk.

1878 - Buried, aged 82, of South Lopham. Memorial inscription (as recorded by Women's Institute survey): Sacred to the memory of Mary WALLIS who died June 11th 1879 aged 82 years. "Prepare to meet thy God". Granite, worn, with heavy lichen infestation. Son Robert is buried next to her. [However, date is incorrectly transcribed as indicated by the probate record below.]

Probate: Personal Estate under £200. 10th July 1878. The Will of Mary WALLIS late of South Lopham in the County of Norfolk widow who died 14-06-1878 at South Lopham was proved in Norwich by Edmund ORFORD of Bressingham in the said county, miller the sole executor.
