Identity

There does not seem to be consensus on the surname of Mary, the wife of Edward Riggs. Torrey reports that her name was speculated to be Mary Munn[1], probably based on the fact that a Daniel Munn made an oral will prior to 13 Jun 1666 leaving his estate to Mary Riggs.[2]

Others have apparently given her surname as Brown, which might be confusion with Hannah Brown who married Edward's brother Joseph.[2]

Due to this confusion, some have indicated that Edward Riggs was married twice, but it appears that there is insufficient evidence to suggest this.
