Mary McKenzie was born in 1845 at St Pancras in Middlesex, a northern suburb of London. She was the daughter of Mary McKenzie, formerly Gobby, and her husband Alexander McKenzie, a Scottish tailor.

Mary appears in the 1851 census with her parents at siblings at 12 Munster Square in St Pancras. She has yet to be traced after 1851.
