Josephine was a homemaker and worked in Gaylord and Keymel's dry house, processing cherries and apples. She also worked on the farm, picking grapes and cherries. She was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church.
She did not like the name Mary Josephine she was given at birth, so she changed it to Josephine Mary [per personal recollections of Nettie Eileen Eaton]
