Mary Frye, about 1715; probably the daughter of Sam (2) Frye and wife, Mary (2) Aslebe, b. 1677; she m. 1st, Joshua Stevens (son of John (2)) who was drowned in the Merrimac, 1712; they lived awhile in Chelmsford where he was probably a trader; sold 1719; returned to Methuen and lived there until death."
[This identification of Stephen Barker's wife seems incorrect, but probably is valid. In documents dealing with the estate of her uncle John Aslebe and his widow Mary, she is named as Mary Stevens.
