Mary Frye, about 1715; probably the daughter of Sam (2) Frye and wife, Mary (2) Aslebe, b. 1677; she m. 1st, Joshua Stevens (son of John (2)) who was drowned in the Marrimac, 1712; they lived awhile in Chelmsford where he was probably a trader; sold 1719; returned to Methuen and lived there until death."
↑ The proof of this unlikely marriage is found in the will of Mary's sons by her first marriage, Person:Jonathan Stevens (10) who names his mother "Mary Barker" in his 1728 will, and Person:Joshua Stevens (6) who names his mother "Mary Barker", in his 1753 will.
