Will of Mary Wilson, Recorded the 15th day of October 1827
In the name of God Amen, I Mary Wilson of Greene County and State of Ohio, being weak in body, but of sound mind and perfect mind and memory considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and yet being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed by almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.
Item: I commit my body to its Mother Earth and my soul to God who gave it.
Item: I will that all my just and lawful debts shall be well and truly paid
Item: I will that the words contained in the written article between me and my son Daniel shall stand, which same article is in the hand writing of Thomas Davis, 2d
Item: I will and bequeath to my niece Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of my son William, dec. I will to this said Elizabeth, one cow, two sheep, one feathered bed and complete covering, to said bed a pare of bedsteads with its cord, a whole set of bed curtains and teester, also one spinning wheel, one looking glass and a large pewter dish.
Item: I will and bequeath one pewter dish to my eldest daughter Elenor Bradley and one pewter dish to my daughter Elizabeth Heffley and one pewter dish to my son Daniel.
Item: I will and bequeath to my children herein after mentioned by name an equal moiety of the remaining part of my property when the above mentioned articles are taken away, that is by first items.
Item: Take particular notice, I will and bequeath all my wearing apparel clothing unto my two daughters Elenor and Elizabeth by name to be equally divided.
Item: My childrens names that are to have an equal moiety of the remaining property
Item:
1) My eldest son Jacob an equal moiety
2) John do do
3) My oldest daughter Elinor do do
4) My son Valentine do do
5) My son William heirs do do
6) My son Jeremiah do do
7) My son Isaac do do
8) My son James do do
9) My daughter Polly’s heirs do do
10) My daughter Elizabeth do do
11) My youngest son Daniel do do
And unto this same, I do hereby and herein appoint my son Daniel sole executor to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of June in the year our Lord, 1827 – signed, sealed and published and declared by the above named Mary Wilson to be
