  3.   Note: Source:Dudley, Dean. History of the Dudley Family : With Genealogical Tables, Pedigrees, and C, p. 559, says Mary, b. 22 Feb 1716, and does not include a daughter born 1711, even though there is a gap between siblings that could accommodate one. This is obviously based on the assumption that Marcy's birth record was meant to be Mary (the appendix, p. 536, to the Littleton records even suggests it could "possibly" be "Marey"). However, a birth in 1716 must be an error, as it would make the Mary Dudley who married Samuel Chase by 1728 only 12. So, if we accept that Mary was indeed born 1711, then it must really be Marcy (or Mercy) who was born 1716. (Mr. Dudley obviously missed Mary's actual birth record, which may be understandable since it was recorded at the very beginning of book 2, and the title page indicates it starts 1 Jan 1728/9. One would suspect it was recorded then as a side-effect of her marriage or having her first child.)

Source:Child, Wm. H. History of the Town of Cornish, New Hampshire, p. 59, says Samuel Chase married Mary, b. 22 Feb 1711. While this source has aligned the birth year to match the gravestone and the birth of son Samuel in 1728, the birth date of 22 Feb is still from Marcy's birth record and probably does not belong to Mary. The birth record of Mary gives her birth date as 24 Aug 1711, and the use of 22 Feb is probably a bookkeeping error by the author.
