In the Matter of the Descent of the Realty of Mary L. Griffith, Deceased. To J.W. Sale, County Judge of Rock County, Aforesaid: The Petition of F.D. Griffith of the City of Evansville County of Rock and State of Wisconsin respectfully represents and shows to said Judge that Mary L. Griffith a resident of the City of Evansville County of Rock and State of Wisconsin died on the 10th day of March 1891 intestate. That at the time of his death the said Mary L. Griffith owned and was seized in fee simple of certain Real Estate, situated in the County of Rock, and State of Wisconsin, described as follows to-wit: Lot Number fourteen in Block number seventeen (17) of the original plot of the city of Evansville, Rock County, Wisconsin. That your petitioner is interested in such Real Estate as follows: one of the three heirs at law of said Mary L. Griffith, he being a son of said deceased. That the names of the heirs-at-law of said Mary L. Griffith and their degrees of relationship are as follows: F.D. Griffith and Ned D. Griffith of Knoxville, Tennessee, sons, and Edith Harrison (nee Edith Griffith) a daughter of said deceased. etc. etc. Signed by Fred D. Griffith, petitioner Pages 2 & 3 - CERTIFICATE OF DESCENT State of Wisconsin, County of Rock, - SS. In the Matter of the Reality of Mary L. Griffith, Deceased. The above matter coming on for a hearing upon the verified petition of F.D. Griffith of the City of Knoxville County of Knox and State of Tennessee before the undersigned County Judge of the County of Rock, and it satisfactorily appearing that Mary L Griffith late of the City of Evansville in the County of Rock and State of Wisconsin, died intestate on the 10th day of March 1891; that at the time of her death the said Mary L Griffith was the owner in fee of the following described real estate in the County of Rock, viz: Lot Number fourteen (14) in Block Number Seventeen (17) of the original Plat of the City (formerly Village) of Evansville, Rock County, Wisconsin according to recorded Plat that the said Mary L. Griffith left surviving her the following named heirs at law, viz : Fred D. Griffith and Ned D. Griffith of Knoxville, Tenn., sons and Edith Harison (Nee Edith Griffith) a daughter, all over twenty-one (21) years of age and that the petitioner is a son of said deceased. Now on reading and filing the said petition I do hereby certify that upon death of the said Mary L Griffith title in and to the foregoing described real estate descended to and vested in the said Fred D. Griffith and Ned D. Griffith and Edith Harison (Nee Edith Griffith) no equal and undivided shares, to each of said heirs an undivided one-third as follows: to F.D. Griffith, an undivided one-third of said above described land; to Ned D. Griffith, an undivided one-third of said land and to Edith Harison (Nee Edith Griffith) an undivided one-third of said above described land. In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the County Court of said County of Rock this third (3rd) day of May A.D. 1904.
