- Pages 47-52. 23-24 March 1741 [1742]. Robert Green Gent. and Ellinor his wife in St. Mark's Parish, Orange County, to Martin Nalle of same. Lease and release; for 4,000 pounds of tobacco. 170 acres in the parish aforesaid, part of a pattent granted to Green for 200 acres 3 Dec. 1733... north side of the south fork of the Gourd Vine River... near a meadow... up the river... William Green's corner... by the mouth of the Devil's Run... over the river... (signed) Robt. Green, Elinor (X) Green. Wit: John Smith, William Burk, John (X) Canaday. 25 March 1742. Acknowledged by Robt. Green, Gent. [Orange County Virginia Deed Book 5, Dorman, pg. 3].
