Research notes

  • Caution: Many trees place her birth year at about 1769 or 1771, making her several years older than her husband, and too old to be the mother of son Joseph Dinwiddie (born 1819). Since the trees that claim this appear to all use OneWorldTree or a derivative as their source, it is likely that there were 2 different Martha McConnell's, both probably with a father named William, that OneWorldTree collapsed into one person.
