!Marriages - Married Alva Lora Hewitt on 5 Feb 1912, and had 9 children Funeral services were held in the Windfall Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Roy Richey, a nephew and Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Sharpsville Cemetery. Services were held in the Mitchell Funeral Home. It was her wish that tributes to her (donations) to the cancer fund. She died at the home of a daughter following a 3-year ill- ness. Born 24 Jan 1896 in Tipton County to John and Amanda Richey and spent most of her life there. 5 Feb 1912 she married the Rev. Alva Hewitt who died 6 DEC 1962, the they were the parents of 8 children, 4 deceased. She was a member of the Windfall Church of the Brethren. Surviving are 2 sons, Eldon Hewitt, Palm Beach, Fla., and Lowell Hewitt, Nevada; 2 daughters. Mrs. Shirley Flick, Nevada and Mrs. Evelyn McFall, Elwood; 12 grandchild- 13 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Della Bogue, Windfall; and 4 brothers.:Frank and Carl Richey of Sharpsville, William Richey, Tipton R.R. 2 and Raymond Richey of Kokomo.

OBIT - Mrs. Margaret (Richey) HeWitt, 70, Dies Wednesday Mrs. Margaret (Richey) Hewitt, 70 died at noon Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shirley Flick, Nevada, after a three year illness. Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday from the Windfall Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Roy Richey and Rev. Robert Wilson officiating and burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 P.M. today at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Tipton. Flowers should be omitted but donations may be made to the cancer fund. Mrs. Hewitt was born Jan. 24, 1896 in Tipton County, daughter of John and Amanda Richey and spent most of her life in the county. She was married Feb. 5, 1912 to Rev. Alva Hewitt who prreceded her in death Dec. 6, 1962. Survivors include four children, Eldo, of Palm Beach, Florida; Lowell of Nevada and Mrs. Mary Evelyn McFall, Elwood; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Della Bogue of Windfall; four brothers, Carl and Frank of Sharpsville and Raymond of Kokomo and William of Tipton Route 2.
