WINDFALL -Funeral services for Noah Richey, 69, Sharpsville, route 2, who died Monday at Tipton Memorial hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident, will be held at 10 P.M. Wednesday at Brethren church west of Windfall with the Rev. Alva Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Nevada cemetery. The deceased received a skull fracture Wednesday morning when a car he was driving collided with a vehicle driven by Claud Merdity, Windfall, at a crossroads one mile north of Windfall. Since the time of the accident he had been in critical condition. The deceased was born on Dec. 13, 1884, near Windfall, the son of John Richey and Amanda Garner Richey. He married Roxie Bogue who died in 1918. In 1929 he married Susan (Lang), Kokomo, who survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Rhodes, Hemlock; two sons, Albert Richey, Greentown; and Aubrey Richey, Windfall; four brothers, Frank Richey, Sharpsville; Walter Richey, Tipton; Raymond Richey, Kokomo; and Charles Richey, Nevada; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Bogue, Windfall and Mrs. Alva Hewitt, Windfall; two stepchildren, Mrs. Carl Davis, Kokomo, and Edward Lane, Kokomo; also 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Tipton Tribune - October 4, 1954 Noah Richey, 69, Sharpsville route 2, who received a skull fracture in a two-car crash Wednesday morning, died at 5:05 A.M. today in Tipton Memorial Hospitall. He had been in critical condition since the accident. This makes the eighth traffic fatality in Tipton county for 1954. The crash occurred Wednesday when a car Richey was driving collided with Claude Meredity, 51, Windfall, at a crossroad one mile north of Windfall. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
