    Miss LaChapelle was the last of the family of seven children of the late Mr.
    and Mrs. George LaChapelle, pioneer residents of Harrisville.

    She was a milliner and operated millinery shops in Harrisville and Boyne City
    prior to moving to Detroit where she was employed by Bierlein Hat Shop on
    Gratiot Avenue which she later purchased and operated until about a year ago.

    Surviving are three nieces and one nephew: Mrs. Eugene McCafferty, Mrs.
    Lawrence Christian, Mrs. Carl Menninger of Detroit and Lloyd LaChapelle of
    Lansing.

    Funeral services were held this Thursday morning from St. Anthony Church in
    Detroit.
