Utica Daily Press, 28 Feb 1939: LUKE RUSSELL Rome-- Luke Russell, 85, of Taberg, died in a Rome hospital Feb. 27, 1939. He was admitted Feb. 22. Mr. Russell, a farmer, had resided in Taberg for the past eight years. He was born in Vienna, a son of the late William and Maria Russell. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Cora Downs of 1657 Sunset, Utica.
