Miss L Mae Van Aken, 92, a resident of Battle Creek for approximately 35 years before she left home in 1950 to live at a nursing home in Rochester, died at the home yesterday. She is survived by two nephews, Vernon M Van Aken of 417 S.W. Capital Ave and Donald A. Van Aken of 1034 Riverside Drive. Miss Van Aken was employed as a bookkeeper at several businesses here, retiring in 1941 from the Battle Creek Gas Co. She resided at 17 Frederick Street before moving to Rochester.
