From Beverly Roberts, : "1 1995:BIO:Our information on Louisa Catherine comes from her entries in her Bible. She married James Alexander Thompson in 1853, presumably in Ga; we know that she was a widow by 1869 with 5 children, the oldest being 15 the youngest 5. So we may surmise that Alexander died between 1864 & 1869 when she married James Lawrence. Perhaps at the end of the Civil War; she would have been 35. After marrying James Lawrence she would have become the step-mother of 10 Wozencraft children ranging from 27 to 6. She then had 3 more children & was widowed again at the age of 46, this time with 3 children under the age of 10. The IGI has the following information on Louisa Catherine Hitchcock's family: Father John M Hitchcock, mother Tabetha C Herrin, Louisa born in Paulding or Walton Co Ga. Louisa's son Lucius b 2 July 1857 Paulding Co Ga, Julia Ann (not Telitha) Thompson b 17 July 1864 Rockmart Ga. (either 1864 or Rockmart is incorrect, probably Rockmart, as she was already born when James Wozencraft & Louis married in Rome Ga ca 1869.) Dec 1997: Per data from Ken Thompson, Louisa moved in with daughter Lucy after health started declining until her death in 1906."
