About Lily Porter

Lily Porter was the daughter of Wm. Porter JR and Mary Bowen and was probably named after her grandmother Lilly McIhenny Bowen. She married Andrew Wilson who was the son of John Wilson and Jane Pollock of Rockbridge County. Lily and Andrew remained in Rockbridge as there descendants were found there many years later. Most of the Porter siblings migrated to Tennessee after the death of Wm. Porter Sr. Lily and Andrews children were: Mary Bowen Wilson, William, Jane, Jennie, Sarah, Andrew Porter and John Kelly.
