Mrs. J. Lestina Taken February Tenth

Mrs. Joseph Lestina (nee Kathrine Lestina) passed away at her home in Giard township on Sunday, February 10th. Mrs. Lestina was born in Bohemia on October 29th, 1840. She was united in marriage to Joseph Lestina on May 29th, 1870, at Monona. She came to this country in 1869 and has lived in the vicinity of Monona ever since.

There were nine children, of which four survive her. Besides the four children, Mrs. Frank Macha, Pittsburg, Wis., Mrs. John Kubish, Traverse City, Michigan, Mrs. Frank Lestina, McGregor, Iowa, and Mrs. Jos. Opat, Milwaukee, Wis., there are thirty one grand children and eight great grand-children. The funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 13th.
