Albert Lestina Sr., 88, Victim of Heat; Funeral Services Held Friday

MONONA Funeral services for Albert Lestina Sr., aged 88, were held Friday morning at nine o'clock from St. Patrick's Catholic church, with burial in the St. Wenceslaus cemetery east of Monona. The pastor, Rev. Father Luke Donlon, said the mass and officiated at the grave.

Surviving Mr. Lestina are one son, Frank A. Lestina, and two daughters, Mrs. John Moses of Monona, and Mrs. Mary Moses of east of Monona, where Mr. Moses made his home. Surviving also are 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. A son, Albert Lestina Jr., died last spring.

Mr. Lestina, even after he turned 80, often walked to Monona, a distance of about four miles. He was jolly and loved by all his neighbors, relatives and acquaintances. He was in Monona only last week. His death was probably due to the intense heat.
