1903 January 25th - Catherine renounced her protestant faith and was baptized Catholic in order to marry Georges Laflamme.

1903 Drouin collection for Ste.-Rose-De-Lima Catholic 1903, folio 2 [translated from French]: The 25th day of January of the year 1903, we the undersigned, priest, and priest of this parish, authorized by Monseigneur Maxime Debelles, bishop of St. Hyacinthe, we have received the abjuration of Protestantism and the professing of the Roman Catholic faith of Catherine Marie, legitimate daughter of the late Andrew Ring and Amity Alberta Ellison, of this parish, age 17 years and we have baptized her under condition. The godfather was Monsieur F. X. Arthur Giroux and the godmother Lady Eugenie LaFond, his wife who along with the neophyte (novice) have signed with us, lecture faite.
