In the Name of God Amen The Nineteenth Day of Novemb'r 1759 I Jotham Brigham of the Town of Marlborough In the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England Yeoman Being very sick & Weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory Thanks be given unto God: therefore Calling unto mind the mortality of my Body & know[ing] it is appointed for men once to Die: Do make & Ordain this my Last Will & Testament (y't is to say) Principally & first of all I Give & recommend my Soul into the hand of God that gave it; and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executor nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the Same again by the mighty power of God; and as Touching Such worldly Estate wherewith it hath Pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give, Demise & Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form.

Imprimis - I will that all my Just Debts be paid by my Executor hereafter mentioned

Item I will & Bequeath to my Dearly Beloved Wife Abigail Brigham the use and improvement of all my Land in Marlborough During her Natural life, together with the use of one half my Dwelling House and Cellor & Barn - furthermore I Give to my Wife all my moveable Estate Except what I shall hereafter Dispose of - forever.

Item I will to my Eldest Son Abraham Brigham (Besides what he has received of my Estate) as his full portion Twenty Shillings to be paid him by my Executor within five years of my Decease.

Item I will to my Second Son Edmund Brigham Besides what he has already received of my Estate; as his full portion Twenty Shillings to be paid him by my Executor within Six years of my Decease.

Item I Will to my third Son Oliver Brigham one moiety of all my Lands in the Town of Petersham In the County of Worcester Both for Quantity & Quality including the Land he has Built upon or anyhow improved or ????sed; together with one Moiety of my Undivided Right in S'd Town - also one moiety of my Pew in S'd Town.

Item I Give to my Fourth Son Asa Brigham one half my Dwelling House & Barn and all my Lands in Marlborough & all my Undivided Rights in this Town Westborough Southboro & Lancaster together with my Pew in the meeting House to be his forever at his Mothers Decease - further I Give my Son Asa of moveable Estate only one yoken of oxen & Two pair of Steers. one pair two year old & ye other one year old.

Item I will to my Fifth Son Antypas Brigham One moiety of all Lands in the Town of Petersham & County of Worcester both for Quantity And Quality Together with one moiety of my Undivided Rights in S'd Town & one moiety of my Pew in the meeting House in S'd Town - I likewise will to my Son Antypas Forty pound to be paid him by my Executor at six Different payments - viz £6.13.4 May 1763 - £6.13.4 May 1762, another Sixth part May 1764 - another sixth part May 1765 - another Sixth part May 1766 & ye Last May 1767.

Item I Will to my Eldest Daughter Betty Straton Besides what shee has already received Thirteen pound Six & Eight pence to be paid by my Executor one moiety thereof in may 1768 & ye other in may 1771.

Item I will to my Second Daughter Persis Knap Besides what shee has already received Thirteen pound, Six Shillings & Eight pence to be paid by my Executor ye one moiety thereof in May 1769 & ye other moiety in May 1772.

Item I Will to my Third Daughter Abigail Brigham Thirteen pounds Six Shilling & Eight pence one moiety threof in May 1763 the other in May 1770 and further I will that my Daughter Abigail Twenty pound. The Day Shee is married this & the preceeding Sums to be paid by my Executor.

I Constitute make & ordain my Fourth Son Asa Brigham my Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament and I Do hereby utterly Disallow & revoke & Disanul all & Every other former Testaments Wills Legacies & Bequests & Executors by me in any ways before named willed & Bequeathed, Ratifying & Confirming this & no other to be my last will & Testament.
