Capt. Joshua Thompson was late of Westerly deceased by 13 Nov 1789.
He left the following children: Joshua Thompson eldest son (having convulsive fits for years), George Thompson second son (being an idiot), Lois Latham of Granville, MA widow (who gave her son Joseph Latham of Stonington, CT power of attorney), Mary Gallup wife of Nathan Gallup, Sabra Pendleton wife of Capt. John Pendleton, Nancy West wife of Simeon West & Sarah Pendleton.
By 12 Dec 1799 the son George Thompson was called late of Westerly deceased.
It further appears that by 16 Dec 1799 Joshua Thompson (eldest son of Capt. Joshua Thompson) was also deceased leaving children: Bridget Thompson, John Thompson 3d & Joshua Thompson and possibly also Capt. Samuel Thompson who on 22 Feb 1790 was appointed guardian of the sons Joshua Thompson & George Thompson.
