Josephine (Josie) apparently was economically well endowed and liked older men (both husbands were at least 18rs. older than she).

Oswego Cemetery records show Josephine M. Braught Barrick, wife of C.R. Campbell b. Nov 6, 1837 and d.Mar.17, 1911. Clear proof of both marriages and order of each, although maiden name is not included there. It is extremely doubtful that there were children to Campbell and Josie.
Her will gave equal parts to L. N., Cloyd G., Samuel M., and David E. Braught; plus Luzetta Mary White (all of her living sibling, not her children because they were both dead). Her will mentions George Campbell of Coffeyville,KS; Mrs. Maggie Disch of Parsons, KS; Vera H. Braucht. Nelson Case was the attorney for the Executor. She owed money to Evert Braught and Arthur Creasy. At Afton, OK 22 Sep 1914 was Cynthia A. She mentions sibling Lorenzo N.; Cloyd C (dec'd leaving widow Cynthia Adams (her next marriage Adams) and 9 children of C.G.; Samuel M dec'd with his widow Rachel and 4 children; Daved E.; and Luzetta Mary White. I see that I did a poor job of recording these data, but do not want to lose the hints.
See Warren Co., IA Courthouse Records of Marriages showing Josephine Braught married Edward Barrack 7 Aug 1856, and Mrs. Josephine Barrack, 40 married to C. R. Campbell, 48 on 13 Feb.1878.

Iowa Marriages 1851-1900 (Ancestry.com) Warren Co. shows Edward Barruch married Josaphen M. Braught 7 Aug 1856.

1860 Census for Washington Twsp, Warren Co., IA Barrack, Ed, 35 b. MD; Josephine M.A.,21 b. OH; Ellich, Joseph 21 b. OH (who is this?); Mary Braught, 18 b. OH; Hariett Marks, 30 b. PA; Ida F. Barrack, 3, b. IA. See also 1870 Warren Census, Barrick Marriage Cert., and LDS film. Local historian, Tina Rice of Parsons reported inscription of grave as Oswego,KS City Cem. Stone,"Josephine M. Braught Barrick, wife of C.R. Campbell, Nov 1837 - Mar 1911.
On 18 Jul 1997 I visited the Oswego, KS (N. Hwy. 59) cemetery (see photos) that gave her death as June 23, 1876 aged 50 yrs, 3 mo. 9 dys. which would calculate her birth to Mar 14, 1826. Another stone in the same cemetery shows inscriptions Josephine Braught born Nov 6, 1837 wife of C.R. Campbell, died March 17th, 1911. Another side of this large stone inscribes Charles Campbell born Nov 17, 1871 Died July 2, 1893 aged 71 yrs 7 ms. 15ds 73 Regt. Ills. Vols. and Masonic symbol. Another side inscribes Edward D. Ellis Barrick born Dec. 28, 1866 died Apr. 27, 1888 aged 21 ys, 4ms, 4ds. To date I have not analyzed these discrepancies. What a woman! Two husbands and grave stones with both. See grave stone photos including Connie McGruder there 17 Jul 1997. Also, see Oswego, KS photo provided by Bea Romine at Wichita 20 July 1997, probably wedding photo of Josie and her new husband Chas. C. Campbell.

25 May 2004 Email from Cathy (Campbell) Zigweid [czigweid@comcast.net) said that Charles R. Campbell was her gggrandfather.
