Marriage Records
- Vol. 2 - Marriage Bond - 1794--April 1, Joseph Henderson and Geo. Hutchison, surety. Joseph Henderson and Eleanor Hutcheson, daughter of Geo. Hutcheson. (Note: Joseph's father had died two years prior, so he provided surety for his own marriage bond, in addition he appears to have just reached adulthood (age 21)).

Will Abstract
- Greene County, Tennessee, Wills, 1828-1854
- Joseph Henderson dec'd. Monday 28th July 1834
- Mins. 17 PH08.
- "The execution of the last Will and Testament of Joseph Henderson dec'd. was duly proven by the affirmation of Jacob Bales and John Rees subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And thereupon Joseph Henderson one of the Executors named in said Will appeared in Court and entered into Bond in the sum of four thousand dollars with Robert Henderson and James kelley his Securities, payable and conditioned as the last directs and having taken an oath to Execute said will, it is ordered that letters testamentary issue to him accordingly".
- Will dated 10 September 1829.
- "It is therefore my Will and desire to bequeath unto my son Joseph Henderson my home place together with all the appertenances thereto belonging containing one hundred and seventy nine acres, and one quarter of an acre together with all and singular my personal property and estate"...
- Names "loving wife Eleanor Henderson", "and at my death the said mare also to belong to the said Joseph my son and the said Joseph my son shall also pay unto his brothers and sister the following sums of money annexed to their several names to wit:
- Alexander Henderson the sum of one hundred and twenty two dollars in property, George Henderson having heretofore received his equitable part and share with the rest, and therefore having considered that he has receiv'd his full share of my estate.
- Joseph Henderson having heretofore receiv'd his part and portion as George Henderson had, but by agreement between them and myself this last bequeath of my home place and personal property herein mentioned and bequeathed has been the reason of the said Joseph to become liable to pay the sums to his two brothers to wit Alexander and Robert and his sister Anny Hall. [other similar bequests omitted]
- And I do hereby make and ordain my two sons Alexander Henderson and Joseph Henderson Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
- In witness whereof I the said Joseph Henderson Senr. have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year first above written".

83. Joseph HENDERSON (Joseph, James) was born about 1773 in Augusta County, Virginia and died in Greene County, Tennessee. He married 3 Apr 1794 Eleanor HUTCHESON who was christened 1776 in Augusta County, Virginia and died in probably Green County, Tennessee. He was the son of Joseph Henderson and Sarah Miller.
