An extensive search was conducted on www.ancestry.com in the 1850 US census, but this family was not found in a given name plus surname search, a given name search for Jonathan in Washington County, Vermont and in Massachusetts, and in a wild card surname plus birthplace and age search.

In the 1860 US census, the remnant of the Jonathan Seaver family resided in Waitsfield township, Washington County, VT. Mary Seaver (age 50, born VT) lived alone (page 965, house #1222); Josiah Seaver (age 12, born VT) lived in the house of Lyman Fisk (page 968, house #1244); Levi Seaver (age 15, born VT) lived in Moretown in the house of Francis Liscomb (page 796, house #2614).
