MILITARY RECORDS:

Levi W. Seaver, a resident of Waitsfield VT, enlisted as a Private in the Union Army on 25 August 1862 at the age of 17, and enlisted in Company B of the 13th Infantry Regiment of Vermont on 10 October 1862. He was absent and dangerously sick with measles at Wolf's Run Shoals VA in June 1862. He mustered out of Company B on 21 July 1863 at Brattleboro VT. He enlisted in the 96th Infantry Regiment of New York on 1 April 1865, and mustered out of that unit on 15 February 1866 ["Military Records of Individual Civil War Soldiers," Historical Data Systems, Provo UT, accessed at "American Civil War Soldiers" database on www.ancestry.com].

CENSUS RECORDS:

In the 1870 US census, the Levi Seaver family resided in Waitsfield, Washington county, VT.
