His name is spelled Jonathan on his D.C. (#00352 it is difficult to read the first two numbers) and Jonathon on his obituary. Also his death age is different on the two documents (72 vs 75).

Per D.C.: s/o Alexander Ashton. He was retired; Occupation - carpenter. He died on Nov. 21, 1921 @ 72 years; 5 mo. and 6 days old. George H. Ashton was the informant. Jonathan and his wife, Amelia had been living at 103 So. Shafor Ave; Middletown.

Jonathon A. Ashton Obituary, Published on November 21, 1921 by the Middletown News-Signal Submitted by Carolyn Lacey OLD RESIDENT PASSED AWAY Jonathon A. Ashton, 75, passed away Monday morning at one o'clock at his home 105 Shafor Avenue, his death bringing the deepest sadness into the many homes where he has been known for years. The deceased during several years of illness, has been a patient sufferer until death came to relieve his trouble. He is survived by four daughters, Rachael, Louella, Amelia, and Mary and one son, George, and to them the sincere sympathy of all is being extended. Funeral services will be held from his late residence Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. Faulkenstine officiating and the interment in charge of Undertaker Wilson in Woodside Cemetery.

Cemetery service date was 23 Nov 1921; Spaulding F. H. Inc, Wilson-Schramm was used. Jonathon was not a veteran.
