The "Columbian Centinel" newspaper of Boston printed on 27 November 1833: "John Seaver m. Abigail Seaverns, daughter of the late John Seaverns in Roxbury at Jamaica Plain, Sunday." In the 1840 United States census, John Seaver was a head of household in the 2nd Ward of Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The household included one free white male aged 20 to 30, one free white male aged 30 to 40, and one free white female aged 20 to 30 (1840 United States Census, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Population Schedule, 2nd Ward of Boston, Page 454, FHL Microfilm 0,014,681).
