John Henry Schneider, Jr. was born 16 July 1922[1] in Seattle, King, Washington[2] to John Schneider, Sr. and Sarah Kettering. He was married on 12 January 1946 in Seattle, King, Washington [3] John fought in the "European Theatre" during WWII in the US Army 246 Combat Engineers [4]; he was a bronze star medalist. After he left the army, John settled in Seattle and was a carpenter by trade. He died 1 October 2011 at the Veteran's Hospital, Seattle, King, Washington[5] and is buried at the Tahoma National Cemetery.
