Richard.—On the 18th of April 1890, near Cedarville, Allen county, Ind., of lung fever, John Richard, aged 71 years, 5 months and 10 days. He leaves his wife and 8 children to mourn his departure. Four of the children live in Wayne county, Ohio. He was a member of the Amish Mennonite church and his place was seldom empty in the church services. Let us who are still spared live so that when the Lord calls us away we can say with Job, ‘ I know that my Redeemer liveth.’ Funeral services by John Lugibill from Luke 12:34–41, and Elias Yoder from Psa. 39:5,6.”
