John Rowland Piggot’s origins have yet to be established. His first confirmed sighting is on 11th October 1785 when he married Martha Jeffs at St Mary’s Church in Warwick. John and Martha went on to have four children together in Warwick between their marriage and about 1794.

John died in 1797, being buried at St Mary’s in Warwick on 15th October 1797. Martha survived him by nearly 34 years.
