Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 355.--20th July, 1789. Maj. Andrew Lockridge and Jane to John Lockridge, son of said Andrew, on Little Creek in Calfpasture whereon William Smith formerly lived, and conveyed to Andrew by John Smith and Mary, 9th November, 1768. Teste: Thos. Hughart, Joseph Mays, Oliver McCoy.

From Chalkley's:
- Page 8.--4th December, 1798. John Louchridge's will--To wife, Anna, and children; to son, James (his schooling); to 3 oldest sons, viz: Andrew, William, John; to daughter, Betsy; to daughter, Sarah; to daughter, Anna. Executors, brother Andrew and James Berry. Teste: James Peery, Samuel Tagart, Jean Shields, Sr.; Mary McKnight, Samuel Black. Proved, 24th June, 1799, by Perry [Peery] and Tagart. Executors qualify.
Will of Wife Ann
- Augusta Co. Will Book 21, p. 535. Will of Ann Lockridge of Augusta County, dated Nov. 25, 1837; probated Dec court 1837. My two daughters- Elizabeth Rhea and Sarah Buchanan. Sons: James and John. My five children: Elizabeth, Sarah, John, James, and my deceased son's children, Andrew Lockridge (Note: Andrew is the deceased son) Executor John Lockridge.

- Vol. 2 - John Rhea vs. William Rhea's heirs--O. S. 45; N. S. 15--Bill filed 19th July, 1804, Augusta. In 1777 orator's brothers were about to leave their father, William Rhea, in order to settle themselves. William applied to John to stay with him. John was drafted for a tour for a year for which he hired a substitute. John married a daughter of Thomas Turk and Wm. promised him land. William died, leaving wife Elizabeth Rhea and children, viz: Alexander, Nancey (now married to Joseph Ritchey); Elizabeth, now married to Robert Rhea; James, Thomas, Margret, Hannah, Polly, Martha, Jane, which Nancy, Elizabeth, James, Thomas, Margret, Hannah, Polly, Martha, John are children df James Rhea, deceased, son of William, and now reside out of the Commonwealth. Hugh Rhea, a child of Archibald Rhea, another son of William also living out of Commonwealth; Robert Rhea, Ann Lockridge and William Rhea, children of William, deceased; John Rhea, another son of said Archibald Rhea, which Robert, Ann, William and John live in the Commonwealth. Deed dated 22d March, 1805, proved in Bath July Court 1805. Robert Rhea, of Bath County, Ann Lockbridge and John Rhea, of Augusta; William, Alexander Robert and Elizabeth, his wife, James, Thomas, Margret, Hannah, Mary, Martha and John Rhea, of Kentucky; Hugh Rhea and Joseph Richey and Nancy, his wife, of Tennessee; all to John of Bath County tract on Mill Creek. [Note: Ann Rhea was the wife of this John Lockridge]
