    John Leach b. 1756 Londonderry, Ireland d. 1834 Pendleton, VA, married Margaret Pearson. The story is that John Leach and his brother were conscripted into the British Army. They jumped overboard while docked in New York, enlisted in the American Army and fought in the Revolutionary War.

    war but jumped ship when it arrived here.
    I do not know anything about their families in Ireland.
